Role at Community Tax
Benjamin Medina is the Manager for Phase One Investigations. In this role, Ben oversees daily operations and the drafting of personalized strategies that will resolve our client’s tax matters. In his five years of experience at Community Tax, Ben has held various roles in numerous departments, proving himself a great asset to our hard-working team.
Ben started his career with us as a Case Analyst and then transitioned into a Case Processor, where he oversaw over 100 cases on a weekly basis, prepared four to five proposals a day, and worked with both Spanish and English clients. He moved on to become an EA Associate Practitioner, and then a Tax Practitioner once he received his Enrolled Agent Certification. In these roles, he prepared customized tax resolution strategies and offered tax planning and analysis to clients.
Ben then moved on to become the Investigations Team Lead, which required that he oversee the team’s business and individual tax recommendations as well as produce daily production reports. This led him to his current role as the manager of the Investigations Team.
Ben began his career after attending DePaul University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Marketing. He is bilingual and provides support to both English and Spanish clients, as well as Community Tax’s Spanish language operations. Ben is also a licensed Enrolled Agent which allows him to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service nationwide.
