You may exercise this right in a number of ways:

  2. By contacting Community Tax at (800) 444-0656
  3. By sending an email to [email protected], providing details of your request

PROOF REQUIRED FOR AGENTS

You may exercise your right to opt out of the sale of personal information through an authorized agent. An authorized agent must be registered with the California Secretary of State. If a consumer uses an authorized agent to exercise these opt out rights, then we may require the customer to verify their own identity with us and acknowledge that they provided the agent with written permission to act on the consumer’s behalf.

If you no longer have access to the email address associated with your account, we will not be able to process your request.

In the comment box below, please provide information that might be helpful in fulfilling your request in regard to how you have engaged with Community Tax. For example, “I signed up on a Community Tax marketing website."

If you are making a request on behalf of someone else, please provide your name and relationship to the Community Tax user who is the subject of this request in the comment box below. We will not be able to fulfill this request without this information because it helps us verify the validity of your request and protect the privacy rights of the Community Tax user who is the subject of the request. We will also be sending an email to that user to separately verify that they want us to move forward with the request being made on their behalf.

At Community Tax, we take your right to privacy seriously. We recognize our responsibility to keep your personal information safe and secure, and we have systems, processes, and expert staff devoted to implementing such security controls, and safeguarding data protection, across our business. In order to fulfill this request, Community Tax will need to reasonably validate that you are the owner of the account for which this request is being submitted or that you have been authorized by the owner of the account to make this request on their behalf. This may require additional follow-up to ensure confidence that this request can be fulfilled. We will work to fulfill this request in a timely manner that complies with the legal requirements in your jurisdiction.
